What the top 10% of profitable Polymarket traders do differently

We compared 122 complete profitable trader histories with at least 100 resolved markets and 60 days of activity. The clearest differences were position size, recent participation and sample depth.

Nearly 8× larger average bet

The top 13 wallets placed a median $439.35 per resolved position, compared with $56.27 for the remaining 109.

71× more recent volume

The top group recorded a median $20,949 in public trade volume during the previous 30 days, compared with $293.

155 resolved markets

The top group had a deeper median history than the remaining cohort, with 155 resolved markets compared with 142.

The difference was not a perfect win rate

The top group won 74.1% of resolved markets at the median, while the remaining group showed 97.4%. Inside this already profitable cohort, a nearly perfect hit rate was not what separated the largest reconstructed results.

Method

The production snapshot was taken at 16:32 UTC on 11 August 2026. Every wallet had positive reconstructed resolved market PnL, complete accounting, a completed full history backfill, no truncated data, at least 100 resolved markets and at least 60 days of history. We compared the 13 highest PnL wallets with the remaining 109.

Important limits

This is a descriptive comparison, not evidence that increasing bet size or activity causes profitability. Recent volume covers 30 days while average bet size and reconstructed PnL cover the complete available history. The cohort contains publishable Conviction Lens profiles, not every Polymarket wallet.
